Palazzo dei Marchesi Amboage, seat of the Italian Embassy in Madrid, today hosted an event organized by Engineering to officially present Engineering Ingegneria Informatica Spain, the new subsidiary of the Group for Spain's Energy & Utilities market.
Engineering has played a key role in the long and continuous process of transformation of Italy's Energy & Utilities market, supporting companies in the implementation of IT solutions with a proactive approach and making available its ability to combine technology and business knowledge. Engineering Spain will be the company with which Engineering can help Spanish companies to implement the digital transformation that is under way.
For the occasion the major market players were thus invited to discuss the theme of "Digital transformation oriented towards the Energy & Utilities market: the sector's future".
After the institutional greetings of Ambassador Stefano Sannino, Michele Cinaglia, Chairman of Engineering, and Vincenzo Tartuferi, CEO of Engineering Ingegneria Informatica Spain, took the floor.
This was followed by a round table on "Risks and opportunities of Digital Transformation in the E&U sector" with representatives of some of the main Spanish companies in the sector, moderated by Jaime Garcia Cantero, analyst and content director of El País Retina.
“The entire value chain of the utilities market is abuzz with Digital Transformation, and new technologies such as Cloud, Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, IOT and Mobile are the enablers. But often the real transformation lies in imagining organizational models and business other than the current ones," said Vincenzo Tartuferi, CEO of Engineering Spain, “and that's the value Engineering Spain wants to offer: ideas, experiences and concrete solutions, but also the ability to look ahead and imagine the future. Because the time has come to make courageous choices, to be visionary and not be afraid to try. And in digital transformation the first conquer positions that are difficult to reach for those behind."
