Tiscali and Engineering announce that is in service the agreement on full outsourcing of information technology services of the operator
Since February 1, the deal - signed yesterday between Engineering Ingegneria Informatica S.p.A. and Tiscali for the management in "full outsourcing" of Information Technology services of the Operator – has been fully implemented.
This operation consolidates the industrial and organizational re-launch of Tiscali also by attracting major companies to operate at his side and in Sardinia, where the Engineering Sardegna srl was born.
- The deal, for a period of seven years, is based on a project focused on the improvement of the technological infrastructure and application platforms, with the aim of combining enhanced service levels towards Tiscali customers with greater process efficiency of IT internal processes, as well as a reduction of operative costs of about 20%.
- Cornerstone of the agreement is the enhancement of Tiscali 170 IT professionals skills in synergy with the operating structures of Engineering.
- Following this operation (and the sale of the business unit “Top Client” to Fastweb as per press release on December 5) the staff of Tiscali changes from about 1000 to about 780 units.
- This step has received the approval of all the trade unions in accordance with the procedure provided for by law 428/1990.
"This deal strengthens the position of engineering in the telecommunications market by ensuring a complete vertical experience of all processes and applications to support business and 'operations' of a telecommunications operator," says Paolo Pandozy, CEO of Engineering.
Riccardo Ruggiero, Ceo of Tiscali, stated: "The full implementation of the agreement with Engineering is very important because it allows the new Tiscali to take a further step towards efficiency, improving processes and IT services while reducing the costs in the order of euro 1.5 m per year, while maintaining a full governance of IT systems ".
