Geocall WFM for a complete and optimized management of technical activities on-field

Geocall Work Force Management is an innovative and fully parametric software platform providing a wide range of vertical modules relying on cutting-edge functional and technological contents.

Geocall WFM benefits from OverIT’s experience in designing and creating applications aimed at supporting field activities of technicians and maintenance staff for major international companies, and includes all the expertise in planning, scheduling, mobility and GIS integration achieved in over 20 years of projects.

The solution includes a set of features allowing to support the companies that need to manage teams and vehicles on-field, coordinating and monitoring all activities planned, optimizing the work and ensuring full compliance to Service Level Agreements. The Geocall WFM suite is constantly evolving, keeping up with the latest digital and Mobile technologies, such as wearables and Augmented, Virtual and Holographic Reality.

Geocall WFM is available for different application areas with specific functionalities

Geocall WFM Utility, the leading solution for Utilities businesses, provides specific functionalities designed for electricity, gas and water providers. It covers the management of: customer service activities, technical information for the distribution network, safety and warning protocols, in addiction to emergency service order.

Geocall WFM Plant is the solution providing innovative features developed for maintenance activities within manufacturing plants. It allows to manage the typical operations of a manufacturing plant, such as: assignment of planned, un-planned, and emergency interventions on machine-assets downtime, management of plant securing phases and protocols, and asset visualization through Augmented Reality with technical data available for consultation by maintenance technicians.

Geocall WFM Service managing and providing accountability for technical maintenance services on-field, in-house and/or outsourced, including warranty and technical data information on demand to the technician. Additional features available for customization enabling the technician up-selling capabilities for services and/or products.

Geocall WFM Transportation offers specific functionalities for the management and optimization of deliveries in real time, the tracking of goods and materials, and the geolocalization of vehicles. This solution allows companies to reduce the time of transfers and the mileage, while enhancing the efficiency of resources.


Basic Module – It includes all the functionalities allowing to configure the basic parameters of Geocall WFM such as resources, assets and services, as well as, to import and create Work Orders, to assign activities to the right resource or team, and to control and monitor such activities. It is always possible to make changes in the operating parameters of Geocall WFM, thus allowing a high level of customization.

In addition to the Basic Module, Geocall WFM includes other modules covering specific functionalities:

Geographic Information System – The GIS module provides the cartographic components supporting the processes related to the management of activities of resources on-field. In Geocall WFM, any information is available on map and the GIS features are also available on Mobile. Geocall WFM presents native integration with the reference technologies on the GIS market, such as Open Source technologies and proprietary technologies like Esri, Bentley MicroStation, GoogleMaps, Microsoft BingMaps and Intergraph.

Automatic Scheduling – The powerful Scheduling tool, relying on sophisticated and innovative algorithms, allows to manage the planning and scheduling of activities, its purpose being the optimization of processes and resources operating on-field. The scheduling module also offers a range of simulation features, useful for developing models and finding the most suitable configuration for the needs of each company.

Booking – The module manages the Agenda of appointments with customers, automatically providing an optimized appointment in real time, in compliance with the Service Level Agreements defined. The Booking allows to manage service requests coming from both Geocall WFM and external CRM, ERP or Service Desk systems.

Emergencies – The module is dedicated to the management of urgent service requests. Each warning is managed and sorted according to parametric criteria of security, efficiency and availability of on-field resources, in order to take the request in charge in the shortest time possible. The application can work with the presence of a Control Center with dedicated operators and in fully automatic mode.

WFM Mobile – Powerful mobile component of Geocall WFM aimed at supporting on-field operators. Through a Mobile device, such as smartphone, tablet or smartwatch, field technicians receive the Work Orders to be carried out, together with useful information for the execution of activities. Moreover, technicians are able to manage activities ranging from the take in charge of orders to the detailed reporting of interventions, to use road navigation tools and to manage multimedia contents. Geocall WFM Mobile is designed to work both online and offline, in order to ensure the complete execution of activities, even when connection is unavailable.

Augmented Reality – The introduction of the innovative Augmented Reality module is aimed at rethinking, under a technological perspective, the activities assigned to field technicians. Thanks to a mobile or head-mounted device, the operators can automatically detect plants, networks and assets, view hidden or underground components, receive information on the activities to carry out and share their focus range in real-time-with the back-office, for guided support.
