Cyber attacks can not only cause significant monetary damage, but can also damage organizations' reputation and reliability.
Often there is a serious disequilibrium between the efficiency of the attacks and the inadequacy of the defense solutions. In particular, it is difficult to report and measure companies' cybersecurity risk, which is often underestimate by Decision Makers, causing low investments.
The Hermeneut Research project is born precisely for this reason.
Solution
Hermeneut promotes a new approach to the management of cybersecurity, providing organizations with a methodology based on cost-benefit analysis to assess the vulnerability of their tangible and intangible assets.The project takes into account the strategy of the attacker, the level of defense of the target organizations and their exposure to risk, also considering the influence of the human factor. In this way Hermeneut provides organizations with a clear risk position and guidelines for investing Cybersecurity.
