Everyday, millions of passengers travel on thousands of carriages. Taking care of cleaning and tidiness is, first of all, a matter of hygiene, but also of image and perception of service quality.

Given the numbers and the relevance of this activity, one of the main Italian companies for the management of rail passenger transport chose Engineering's help in attempt to make it more efficient and productive.

Solution

Considering this clear need expressed by citizens, Engineering do Brasil, the Brazilian division of our company, created INFOBUS, a platform based on a software for the analysis and management of data from the public transport system. INFOBUS collects the data using the IoT paradigm, organizes it, makes it accessible through different channels (at bus stops, via the web, via smartphone, etc.), and facilitates the proper use of public transport for all citizens.

The platform has various functionalities, including:
  • 24/7 automatic response service for end customers
  • Display of maps, routes and lines in real time
  • Interactive dashboard for smart management of the system on cloud
  • Applications for public transport.


In addition, the solution envisages the integration of tools useful for data collection, such as: applications for "field data collection", monitoring via GPS, web interface, Google Transit platform.
