We realised for E.ON Italy a platform based on Net@ (a solution developed entirely in Italy) approved by E.ON Deutschland, to manage metering, billing, credit in gas & power.

Challenge
E.ON Italia is a major player in the Italian energy services market with over 900,000 supplies managed. The company was faced with complex challenges related to the heterogeneity of its application infrastructure, which required a simplification of operational processes to improve the quality of services and reduce the time needed to launch new offers on the market.
Approach
Engineering provided its vast experience and in-depth knowledge of the Italian energy market and related business processes. Key elements were on the one hand the deep understanding of the constantly evolving regulatory framework and its impact on application solutions, and on the other hand, the relationship of complete trust and harmony that was progressively built up with the client.
Solution
The DA.Vinci Project lasted 20 months and involved E.ON representatives from different countries, with the aim of providing global governance and supporting implementation activities, creating an interesting and innovative multi-cultural team-mix. The management of critical aspects, such as the migration and harmonisation of historical data from five different information systems, was carried out ensuring a smooth start-up and adherence to billing schedules. The DA.Vinci project allowed E.ON Italia to achieve a significant competitive advantage by strengthening its leading position in the Italian energy services market.
