The annual meeting organized by ERA (Academy of European Law) aims to analyze the latest developments in the European Union's response to the threat of terrorism, with a focus on the various means and methods to anticipate any threats, prevent them, protect yourself from them and react both from the point of view of the police and the judiciary.
The Annual Conference on Countering Terrorism in the EU 2021 is aimed at ministerial bodies, the judiciary, law enforcement agencies and NGOs and is also an opportunity to examine the new EU counter-terrorism agenda.
Ernesto la Mattina, our Head of Homeland Security research activities, will present the session "Enhancing law enforcement agencies' early detection capacities: detecting and analyzing terrorist-related online content and financing activities" on 1st December.
He will talk about some automated data mining and analytics solutions to discover, detect, analyze and monitor potential terrorist-related activities and people, especially online fundraising for activities, propaganda training and disinformation activities.
