The current COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the need and urgency of ready-to-use solutions, based on Open Source principles and open standards for secure and automatic data sharing.
FIWARE has always demonstrated a strong ability and speed in facing urgent challenges and the needs of society, companies and public administrations. More and more sharing tools are available, guided by Open Source principles, which allow interested parties to access existing solutions, and to work on data security, especially if personal and health data are handled.
The event organized by FundingBox was also attended by Lanfranco Marasso, Smart City Program Director of Engineering, introducing a practical sample on how to best use FIWARE technologies to face the Covid-19 crisis.
Roberto Di Bernardo, Senior Researcher and Head of the Open Government Group of Engineering, presents "Dashram", a solution which aims at collecting, harmonizing and visualizing data related to the Covid-19 crisis.
