Engineering inaugurates its new headquarters in Rome, the heart of innovation

2,000 people from the Group participated to the event.

Rome, June 06 2019

Engineering inaugurated today the new headquarters of the Group in Rome, in Piazzale dell'Agricoltura at the Eur, in the presence of the 2,000 employees who work there, part of the more than 10,000 people who work throughout Italy and of colleagues who work in offices abroad.

The ceremony was dedicated to the employees who represent the main asset on which the Group has built its ability to develop customers, guiding them through digital transformation: from defining strategies to developing the most suitable architectures and technological solutions in order to implement these in the shortest time and with the greatest effectiveness.

Michele Cinaglia, founder and President of Engineering, commented: "We wanted to celebrate the start of our new home in front of our family, with the employees whose work each day helps to build a new world for businesses and citizens. However, I would like to remind you that today - 6th June - Engineering begins its fortieth year of activity and during the next twelve months, which are particularly significant for us, we will proudly host meetings dedicated to the city and to our numerous customers and partners in our new premises, in order to look to the future together".

The strength and impact of innovation that comes from collaboration and openness is what determines Engineering's approach to the market and its growth, represented by the important numbers in terms of turnover, customers, projects and, above all, by the extraordinary average recorded in the last four years of 3 recruitments per day, totaling around 1,000 people per year.

The same concept of openness and collaboration characterizes the work organization in our new headquarters. Four floors with a total of 22,000 square meters of barrier-free space to encourage interaction and collaboration between the many teams.
A concept conceived with a view to opening up and developing projects, with an interdisciplinary approach which ensures the value of the strong skills and deep knowledge that the Group has in the various sectors in which it operates and in the numerous technologies that it dominates are released more rapidly across the board. The move to the new headquarters has coincided with the launch of new smart-working policies that allow all employees to work remotely with all the tools necessary to access colleagues and information and to share documents with the same efficiency and speed that characterize work in the office.

In addition, the new premises also include some space for a few classrooms for the courses of the IT & Management school "Enrico Della Valle", the flagship of the Group’s important training program. These have been added to those already present at the premises in Ferentino (FR), which, in turn, due to the incessant increase in the number of employees, will soon be extended by the construction of an additional wing for 5 new classrooms, thus bringing the total number of classrooms to 16, holding courses and seminars for about 160,000 hours of training every year.

Finally, in its capacity as a company that shapes the future, the building pays particular attention to the environment. The building, which is totally governed by a sophisticated control system which drastically reduces energy consumption and CO2 emissions, also has a green space dedicated to teaching respect for nature. A company vegetable garden, cultivated according to the principles of organic farming, is currently being created.
