Municipia S.p.A. – a subsidiary of Engineering Ingegneria Informatica S.p.A., leader in Digital Transformation – acquires the INFOR S.r.l. Company, a software house specialized in providing information systems for local public administrations.

Municipia S.p.A., with a consolidated presence in the digitization of local public administrations and specialized in outsourcing services for municipalities and metropolitan cities, has acquired INFOR S.r.l. The transaction, presented today in Arezzo during a public event, is part of the specific strategy of the Engineering Group aimed at accelerating digitization processes at all levels of local public administration, from large to small municipalities.

Based in Arezzo, INFOR is a company with significant experience, which produces and owns numerous software programs for the management of local authorities. The company has a comprehensive offer for the management of municipalities: from software for financial statements, to planning and control, personnel management, real estate assets, administrative and tax deeds, and demographic, social and local police services. The effectiveness of INFOR's solutions is demonstrated by the significant number of public administrations using them and, with the support of the technical and commercial structures of Municipia, these can be made available in a very extensive way to a greater number of municipalities, unions, provinces, metropolitan cities and other aggregators, helping to speed up the process of digitization and reduce costs and management time.

The strategy of growth and expansion will be backed up by the relevant track record of experience of Municipia's commercial network, considering that many municipalities and provinces spread throughout Italy have already chosen INFOR solutions. These municipalities range from those of large towns such as Florence, Messina, Monza and Verona, to smaller ones such as Grosseto, Lucca and Sassari. As far as provincial administrations are concerned, INFOR has also been chosen by many provincial capitals such as Arezzo, Cremona, Mantua, Perugia, Rovigo and Savona, to name just a few.

Stefano De Capitani, President and General Manager of Municipia, comments: “Thanks to this acquisition, we have enriched our offer with interesting solutions for Italian municipalities of all sizes, to which we will be able to offer further tools for the digitization of processes. This will allow us to support agencies in improving services for the benefit of the territory and citizens, and provide administrations with what is needed to face and manage the growing challenges imposed by their institutional role and the difficulty in finding resources."

“As a testimony to the strategic nature of this partnership," continues Stefano De Capitani, "we are working to expand the working group in Arezzo, integrating it also with the resources of Municipia and Engineering, in order to promote growth in the area of a competence center for the digitization of processes dedicated to public administration, where specific solutions and experiences can be developed for municipalities, metropolitan cities, provinces and local authorities in general”.

Stressing the value of the integration, Paolo Peruzzi, Administrator of INFOR S.r.l., says: ”Being part of Municipia, and more in general of the Engineering Group, gives INFOR the opportunity to expand its solutions with additional tools and skills for the digitization of processes in order to propose a comprehensive technological offer in line with the needs of our customers. In particular, the new set-up will allow us to design outsourcing services, such as the provision of cloud and multi-cloud services, in the field of asset management, social services, mobility and revenue, and thus support public agencies in carrying out projects, starting from definition of the characteristics necessary for individual situations up to ways of accessing resources”.
