Engineering manages the evolution of the prepaid platform for a leading Argentinian operator

The mobile operator is the leader in Argentina and has more than 20 million customers.

In particular, Engineering has supported the program for consolidation and evolution of the "prepaid" platform that foresees migration of the OPSC rating engine from the Classic version to the GOLD version, to ensure achievement of the following objectives:

  • consolidation of the infrastructure on a lower number of components
  • simplified management of complicated prepaid offers (e.g. Cuenta Clara and Plano Familia)
  • implementation of advanced rating functions (e.g. real time discounts and promotions, unlimited number of baskets)
  • the introduction of controls on expense limits of the various types of "subscribers".

The solution is based on the prepaid use of Engineering components, integrated with the new rating engine to guarantee end-to-end coverage of the relative processes. Consolidation and alignment of the architecture to SOA paradigms ensure greater flexibility in managing offers and clear improvement in Time to Market.

Engineering is responsible for governing the entire program with highly challenging timescales and is directly involved in the design, realization, support for roll-out and go-live phases, including migration to the new platform.
