The University of Trento organises a new DISI Industrial Workshop dedicated to technologies, methodologies and case studies by leading companies aimed to bring students closer to today's real business world.
This month’s appointment will focus on FIWARE Foundation which is promoting the development and the adoption of Open Source in many verticals, and among them also in the Smart Manufacturing Industry sector playing a pivotal role in the European and worldwide market.
In the talk, the two co-chairs of the Smart Industry Mission Support Committee of the FIWARE Foundation, Angelo Marguglio (Head of Smart Industry R&D Unit at Engineering) and Ernö Kovacs (Head of IoT Research at NEC Laboratories Europe) will present the mission of the Committee and the main action streams of FIWARE community and will illustrate two relevant business cases on Cloud-Edge Digital Twins and Industrial Analytics applied to the manufacturing and logistic processes.
