Declarative application management with Kubernetes

The paper presents AVANT Intelligent Deployer (AID), an open-source prototype based on Kubernetes that automates application deployment across the Cloud-Edge Continuum.

Through declarative policies, AID optimizes service placement by considering computational resources, application constraints, and carbon intensity, with the aim of improving performance and environmental sustainability.
