Engineering took part in the 8ra Annual Summit 2026 – General Assembly & Open Conference, held on 19–20 March in Rotterdam. The event represents a key milestone for the European cloud-edge ecosystem, bringing together industry partners, institutions, and stakeholders to share results and shape the future of the European cloud-to-edge continuum.

During the event, Engineering contributed with two sessions focused on AVANT, the European project aimed at enabling next-generation cloud infrastructures and services:

• Sergio Comella, Technical Researcher Specialist, presented the progress of Workstream 3, showcasing the AI model catalogue developed within the project 
• Giovanni Frattini, R&I Project Manager, shared the outcomes of Workstream 4, highlighting the value and latest developments of AVANT.
