Engineering at UniSalerno’s ITPA Master’s programme

Focus on data governance and cybersecurity in healthcare.

Engineering contributes to the Master’s educational programme with the seminar Data Protection and Cybersecurity Beyond the GDPR: a Systemic Approach to Governance, Processes and Risk Assessment in Healthcare Organisations.

Healthcare experts Federica Venezia (Functional & Business Analysis Specialist) and Raffaele De Quattro (Technical Manager) will outline the key innovations introduced by EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR), analysing their organisational and strategic implications beyond the purely regulatory dimension.

The seminar explores advanced information security governance models, with particular attention to the role of leadership in fostering a shared and informed security culture.

With a specific focus on the healthcare context—characterised by data sensitivity and the need for operational continuity—Engineering’s proprietary methodology for personal data protection risk assessment will be presented, showing how GDPR requirements can be translated into concrete operational solutions.

The session will provide participants with conceptual and practical tools to understand why data security is a shared strategic responsibility across executive management, business leadership, legal departments and IT, and which governance and process approaches can support effective incident prevention and management.

Designed for a multidisciplinary audience, the contribution aims to strengthen a systemic approach to data governance and risk assessment, supporting the resilience and digital evolution of Public Administration. The Master stands out for its highly qualified and diverse cohort, bringing together complementary profiles from different domains and fostering an integrated view of public sector challenges.
