Engineering will take part in the PAL Summit 2026, the event dedicated to the digital transformation of local authorities, sharing its vision on artificial intelligence, data governance and the creation of public value.

On May 19, 2026, at Castel Nuovo (Maschio Angioino) in Naples, the PAL Summit 2026 - organized by The Innovation Group - will bring together top leaders from Local Public Administration.

Engineering will join the Summit with Andrea Gabardo, EVP Public Administration, speaking in the roundtable “Enabling Technologies, Data and AI: creating public value”.

Artificial Intelligence represents a strategic lever to generate public value, provided that key principles are ensured: data sovereignty, system inspectability, and decision explainability.

Engineering supports Public Administration through the principle of “proportionate AI” - the right tool for the right task, without ideology - and through an approach focused on a sovereign, governable and secure Italian AI, based on the EngGPT 2 model: an Italian LLM, trained in Italy, compliant with the AI Act and featuring open weights.

The event represents an important opportunity for dialogue between institutions and ICT players on the challenges of post-PNRR digital transformation, with a focus on sustainability, interoperability and public service innovation.
