ECML PKDD 2026

Eng is among the key players at ECML PKDD 2026 (European Conference on Machine Learning and Principles and Practice of Knowledge Discovery in Databases), Europe’s leading event dedicated to machine learning, data mining, and knowledge discovery from data. The conference is one of the most important meeting points between academia and industry, bringing together researchers, companies, and international professionals each year to explore the latest developments in Artificial Intelligence.

On September 10, Dario Fabbri, Solution Delivery & Quality Director at Engineering, will deliver his talk, “Software Delivery as Knowledge Transformation: An Industrial View of Agentic AI Beyond Code Generation,” offering a practical perspective on how GenAI can be industrialized across the entire software lifecycle and translated into measurable business value.

On September 11, Federico Negri, Technical Researcher Advisor at Engineering, will present the paper "A Novel AI-Assisted Knowledge Discovery Service to Support Drug-Manufacturing Hypotheses", showcasing the latest developments carried out within the ATLANTIS research project. ATLANTIS supports Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) in organizing, enriching, and interpreting investigative knowledge by identifying relevant patterns within incomplete evidence chains through configurable AI-assisted reasoning processes.

At the Eng booth, attendees will have the opportunity to discover Inlay, Engineering’s software delivery framework, which integrates AI agents throughout the software lifecycle, from requirements definition to production management, enabling the modernization of legacy applications and accelerating the development of new digital solutions with reduced time-to-market, enhanced quality, and greater customization.
