FAME: Federated, decentralized and trusted Data Marketplace for Embedded Finance

A joint effort of world class experts in data management, data technologies and digital finance to develop and launch a federated data marketplace for Embedded Finance.

Challenge
Today’s data marketplace platforms face several limitations, including the lack of effective and user-friendly methods for discovering and trading data assets across diverse marketplaces, the limited transparency and flexibility in the monetization processes and, lastly, the poor integration of energy-efficient analytics.
Approach

FAME brings together existing technologies into an integrated software platform and toolbox with unique capabilities. The platform and tools are evaluated in the context of several Embedded Finance pilot cases, including:

  • personalized purchasing recommendations based on retail transaction
  • citizens' digital wallet for payment of smart city services
  • facts-checking services for Embedded Finance providers
  • construction and management of ESG investment portfolios
  • data-driven insurance planning
Solution

The FAME data marketplace addresses the limitations of centralized cloud-based marketplaces by introducing innovative functionalities that enhance data exchange. It enables secure, interoperable, and regulatory compliant interactions among multiple data providers. Additionally, the marketplace facilitates decentralized and programmable trading and pricing of data assets, leveraging blockchain tokenization techniques. Furthermore, it aims to incorporate energy-efficient analytics powered by cutting-edge technologies, resulting in a more robust and efficient ecosystem for data management. Engineering coordinates the development and integration of the entire data marketplace platform.
