Engineering announces the resignation of CEO Maximo Ibarra and appoints Aldo Bisio as new CEO

Engineering, a leader in the digitalisation of processes for companies and Public Administration, announces that the Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Maximo Ibarra, who has led the Group since 2021, has decided to resign for personal reasons with effect from April 28, 2025.

Mr. Ibarra’s decision follows the presentation of the financial results which confirm the Group’s strong growth trajectory in recent years, marked by a significant organic increase in EBITDA and all performance indicators, as well as a significant improvement in the Group’s positioning in high-growth IT market segments.

The Board of Directors of Engineering has appointed Mr. Aldo Bisio as the new Group CEO with effect from the same day.

Mr. Aldo Bisio holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering and has previously served as CEO of Vodafone Italia and Group Chief Commercial Officer. Earlier in his career, he was CEO and General Manager of Ariston Group and General Manager of RCS Quotidiani.

Under Mr. Ibarra’s leadership, Engineering has undergone an intense process of transformation and expansion, achieving significant growth in revenues and profitability. The Group has made major investments in M&A, products, and competencies to consolidate its leadership in the digital landscape, has renewed its Management team, strengthened its Governance, and recently completed a refinancing operation through the issuance of a bond highly appreciated by the market, supporting future organic growth. Today, Engineering stands as a digital champion with a global presence and revenues of approximately €1.8 billion.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors, Gaetano Miccichè, said: “In acknowledging Maximo Ibarra’s decision, I would like to express on behalf of the shareholders, Bain Capital and Renaissance Partners, the Board of Directors, and myself, our sincere gratitude for the extraordinary contribution he has provided towards Engineering’s growth. His strategic vision has left a profound mark, allowing the Group to consolidate its role as a leading technology operator in Italy. I wish Maximo every success in his future endeavours and thank him for the dedication, responsibility and collaboration shown over the years. At the same time, I warmly welcome Aldo Bisio, certain that he will be able to lead Engineering into a new phase of development and innovation.

Maximo Ibarra said: “It has been an honour and a privilege to lead Engineering during these four years of profound transformation. An exciting period comes to an end: today, the company is a reality of excellence with around 14,000 employees and it operates in 21 countries worldwide, with distinctive competencies and a solid position in the main technology sectors. Over the last few months, I have been willing to take some time to evaluate new professional projects and start a new phase in my career. I want to thank the team and all those who have contributed to our success, my shareholders, the Board of Directors, and the Chairman Miccichè for their trust. I now leave the helm to Aldo, convinced that he is the best choice for this new era of Engineering. From my side, as requested by the Company, I have given my availability to remain within the Group until next 1st September to ensure an effective and complete handover. I will also continue to be an investor in Engineering, confident in the path of the coming years thanks to the solidity of its ambitions and values. I wish Aldo Bisio the best of success in leading the Group.

The company will continue to operate with the same dedication and commitment to innovation, quality and customer satisfaction.
