Engineering at the Stati Generali on Defence, Space and Cybersecurity
Engineering, leader in digital transformation processes for enterprises and public administrations, today participated in the Stati Generali on Defence, Space and Cybersecurity, held at ESA-ESRIN in Frascati and promoted by the European Parliament and the European Commission in collaboration with ESA.
The event gathered representatives from European and national institutions, cybersecurity agencies, and leading companies in the sector to address the challenges posed by hybrid warfare and the growing interdependence between defense, space, and cybersecurity.
Engineering contributed to the debate with the participation of Andrea Gabardo, Executive Vice President Public Sector, in the panel “Hybrid Warfare and Cybersecurity: defending liberal democracies”, sharing the company’s vision on how digital technologies can become a strategic enabler for the protection of critical infrastructures and for democratic resilience.
Andrea Gabardo stated: "Hybrid warfare has turned defense into a multidimensional challenge: it is no longer just about protecting physical borders, but also about ensuring the integrity of data, infrastructures, and decision-making processes. This is why an integrated approach is crucial, one that brings together space, cyber, and land into a single resilient architecture. Engineering is working to develop dual-use technologies, AI, GenAI and digital twin security solutions, and tools that enable governments to strengthen digital sovereignty and citizen trust.”
With its presence at the European Stati Generali on Defense, Space and Cybersecurity, Engineering confirms the Group’s commitment to supporting governments and institutions in building an integrated European ecosystem of digital defense, through interoperable command and control platforms, AI-based satellite analysis, cyber resilience solutions, and Security Operation Centers for the protection of critical infrastructures.
