Engineering at AI Week: IS-IA and EngGPT 2 for an Italian and SAFE Artificial Intelligence
Engineering, among the leaders in Digital Transformation in Italy with a significant international presence, is participating for the third consecutive year in AI Week, Italy’s leading event for managers, entrepreneurs, and professionals who want to shape their future through Artificial Intelligence, taking place on May 19–20 at Fiera Milano in Rho.
Through its participation in AI Week, Engineering promotes its vision on the strategic role of Artificial Intelligence in the country’s development and competitiveness through IS-IA – Italy’s Sovereign Intelligence Architecture, an architectural approach based on the concept of Italian, governable, and secure AI, at the core of which lies EngGPT 2: the Group’s Private Generative AI platform, compliant with the AI Act, designed to protect strategic data and know-how of enterprises and public administrations, while ensuring performance in line with the best international open models.
On the AI Week stage, Engineering brings a structured and concrete vision of Artificial Intelligence, articulated through 7 sessions covering the entire adoption journey — from strategy to implementation, from governance to business impact.
Opening the sessions on May 19 is Aldo Bisio, CEO of Engineering, with the keynote on the main stage titled “Sovereign AI: Governing your Intelligence Capital”, focused on the concept of sovereign AI: governable, secure, and transparent, capable of protecting strategic data and know-how in compliance with the AI Act.
Over the two days, discussions will address the key strategic issues related to AI, with contributions from Fabio Momola, Executive Vice President of Eng Digital, Igor Bailo, Executive Director AI & Data, and Gianmarco Ciarfaglia, Head of AI.
Significant space will also be dedicated to concrete use cases and business experiences, thanks to contributions from Emanuele Cacciatore, Director of Innovation, Consulting and Partnerships, and Valeria Aste, Consultant in the Business & Technology Consulting team, together with testimonials from Francesca Meriggi, Group CIO, and Massimo Del Vecchio, Eng Modernize Executive Director.
Topics will also extend to the evolution of architectures, governance, and operating models for scalable and sustainable AI platforms, with Alessandro Spigaroli, Executive Director, and Enrico Murru of Engineering, as well as impacts in regulated sectors such as finance, with Anna Kunkl, Senior Partner at Be Shaping The Future, part of the Engineering Group.
Visitors will also be able to interact live with EngGPT 2 at Engineering’s booth no. 76, discover where they stand in their AI journey, and identify the next possible steps in their adoption path.
