Engineering approves First Quarter 2026 results: Revenues up +4.1% and Ebitda improving
The Board of Directors of the Engineering Group, among the leaders in Digital Transformation in Italy and with a significant international presence, has approved the consolidated results for the first quarter of 2026, which show organic revenue growth and an improvement in profitability accelerating compared to recent years, confirming the effectiveness of the strategic repositioning towards higher value-added activities.
The growth recorded in the quarter is across all the main markets in which the Group operates and is mainly driven by positive performance in the Public Sector and Healthcare, as well as by the results of Software Products (+9%) and Digitech & Consulting (+6%).
Aldo Bisio, Chief Executive Officer of the Group, stated: “The first quarter of 2026 confirms the solidity of the direction undertaken, characterized by a progressive shift towards higher value-added activities, increasing integration of artificial intelligence, and strengthening of financial discipline. The evolution of our industrial model sees a central role of GenAI thanks to the launch of the modular IS-IA (Italy's Sovereign Intelligence Architecture), which is based on the proprietary LLM EngGPT 2, to offer Public Administrations and companies a sovereign Artificial Intelligence, that is governable, efficient, open and capable of integrating with other general-purpose models.”
Main economic and financial results
In the first quarter of 2026, most of the Group’s main economic and financial indicators showed a positive trend:
For Engineering, artificial intelligence represents a key driver of growth and efficiency thanks to the modular architecture IS-IA and the development of scalable solutions such as the proprietary LLM, EngGPT 2. This approach enables the Group to generate tangible benefits in internal processes, improving productivity and competitiveness. At the same time, it makes it possible to concretely apply artificial intelligence in different industrial and service contexts in a secure, transparent and fully governable way. The solutions developed meet specific needs across various sectors, including manufacturing, telecommunications, healthcare and energy. In this way, Engineering supports clients in optimizing processes, accelerating digital transformation paths and delivering increasingly advanced, secure and governable services.
