Engineering Group, one of Italy’s leading Digital Transformation companies with a significant international presence, announces the establishment of the Digital Solutions Business Unit and the appointment of Fabio Momola as General Manager, entrusting him with the leadership of the new organization. At the same time, Momola joins Engineering’s Board of Directors.
The creation of the Digital Solutions Business Unit marks a further step in the evolution of Engineering’s industrial model and is part of the Group’s business refocusing and reorganization journey launched by Chief Executive Officer Aldo Bisio. This journey aims to accelerate the adoption of Artificial Intelligence through the launch of IS-IA (Italy’s Sovereign Intelligence Architecture), built on the EngGPT 2 foundation model, strengthen proprietary platforms, and consolidate the Group’s positioning in the highest value-added technology segments.
Reporting directly to CEO Aldo Bisio, Fabio Momola will lead the integrated development of the Group’s digital solutions offering, leveraging vertical expertise and synergies across the various target markets.
Reporting to Fabio Momola will be the Enterprise, Financial Services, Eng Digital and Industries Excellence Business Units, as well as the Marketing, Offering & Partnership; Procurement; and IT, Operations & Quality Excellence Support Functions.
With this new organizational structure, Engineering strengthens its industrial setup, simplifies the governance of markets and support functions, and accelerates the execution of its growth strategy.
Fabio Momola joined Engineering in November 2021 as Executive Vice President. He went on to lead, as CEO, Engineering D.HUB, Cybertech, Atlantic Technologies, ExtraRed and Crispy, all Group companies, in addition to overseeing the Eng Digital Business Unit. Prior to joining Engineering, Momola gained significant experience in the financial and technology sectors, contributing to the launch of CheBanca! (Mediobanca Group) and the turnaround of the Cedacri Group, where he served as Group COO and Executive Director until its acquisition by the ION Group. Alongside his managerial career, Momola is also active in academia: he currently teaches Project Management at the Faculty of Economics of the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Milan and Digital Business Leadership at the Luiss Guido Carli University & Business School in Rome.
