Now in its 21st edition, Ecomondo is a wide-ranging and multi-faceted platform that addresses the Mediterranean area with an international and innovative event that talks about material recovery, energy and sustainable development.
Ecomondo, as every year, will present its model of a sustainable city in a dedicated space in which to admire the sector's innovations aimed at improving the lives of citizens. A fair square to learn about the entire raw materials supply chain, from procurement to recycling, for a circular economy in which nothing is wasted, but everything finds its reuse. The aim is also to find independence from foreign countries, being able to use only Italian raw materials.
Our researchers Dario Pellegrino and Leandro Lombardo will be present on November 8th with a stand for the FOODRUS project in the European Commission pavilion. The project was selected from the REA (European Research Executive Agency) and proposes an innovative, circular and collaborative food system to reduce food waste and losses in the agri-food chain.
Lanfranco Marasso, our Smart City Program Director, will give a speech at the Italian Exhibition Group on November 10th on the subject of "Digitising services for green and resilient cities".
