Engineering, a leader in digitalization for businesses and public administrations, participates as a partner in the event Objective 5, the training campus for equity and inclusion of Corriere della Sera, with la27esimaOra, iO Donna and Le Contemporanee, organized with Sapienza University of Rome, scheduled at the Roman university on March 9th and 10th. The event, inspired by the fifth of the 17 UN 2030 Agenda goals, which aims for "Gender equality and self-determination for all women and girls," offers the public, students, and professors four live investigations, also available for streaming on corriere.it, 11 workshops, numerous debates, and one-to-one sessions to discuss objectives, projects, and professional choices.

During the second day of Objective 5 (Friday, March 10th, at 5.30 pm), Maximo Ibarra, CEO of Engineering, will share his professional story in the live investigation conducted by Corriere della Sera journalist Gianna Fregonara "Do the right thing: use your talents, find your way", bringing his testimony together with those of Nobel Prize winner in Physics Giorgio Parisi, actress Michela Cescon, founder of E/O editions Sandro Ferri, Michel Martone, Professor of Labor Law and Industrial Relations at Sapienza University of Rome, Serena Sapegno, Associate Professor of Italian Literature, Women's and Gender Studies at Sapienza University of Rome, and Luca Valdiserri, journalist for Corriere della Sera. During the second day of the event (Friday, March 10 at 2:00 PM), Marcella Tesone, Group Talent Director at Engineering, will participate in a workshop with Michel Martone on "Work after the pandemic" to discuss how the spread of new technologies, remote work, increasing attention to gender equality, and values such as inclusion are changing the way we work.

Objective 5 will also be an opportunity for Engineering to inaugurate its Metaverse Dome, a 6-meter-high and 12-meter-diameter polycarbonate structure that will be positioned in Piazzale della Minerva at the entrance of the University. During the two days of the event, it will offer an exclusive experience in the Metaverse. Inside the dome, wearing innovative visors, participants will be able to embark on a multiplayer virtual reality journey, accessing various immersive environments created by Engineering's Metaverse Lab, which will allow them to discover the cultural heritage of the capital, try innovative educational models, and experiment with new modes of sharing and entertainment.

In the Metaverse Dome, it will also be possible to admire a three-dimensional reconstruction of the archaeological complex of Sessorio, created by Archeo&Arte 3D Lab of the Sapienza DigiLab Research Center, with which Engineering has signed a three-year agreement. This collaboration, which marks an important expansion of the Group's partner ecosystem, will see Engineering and DigiLab develop projects and initiatives in the field of education, for the enhancement of national and international cultural heritage, and for the dissemination of values related to European citizenship.

To delve into the news and developments related to the Metaverse, Engineering has just published the new version of the Trend Radar Metaverse - Year 1, where it describes how it is exploring this new frontier and the projects it is experimenting with partners to extend the digital ecosystems in which we live and work.
