The AVANT project will be featured at the 21st International Forum on Knowledge Asset Dynamics (IFKAD 2026), the international conference focused on "Intelligent Knowledge for Sustainable Organizations", taking place from 1 to 3 July 2026 in a hybrid format (Budapest and online).

On 1 July, from 12:20 to 13:35, during the Virtual Parallel Session – Room D, Special Track 23: "AI and Urban Development: Knowledge, Governance, Planning, and Design", Giovanni Felle, Technical Researcher Advisor at Eng, will present the paper "A Hybrid RAG Architecture for Knowledge Management in Urban Digital Twins." The paper introduces a hybrid Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architecture designed to enhance knowledge management within Urban Digital Twins.

The research was carried out within the AVANT project, which aims to develop innovative solutions for intelligent urban data management and AI-driven decision support. In this context, adopting RAG-based architectures represents an important step toward Urban Digital Twins that can transform large volumes of heterogeneous data into actionable knowledge for public administrations, urban planners, technical experts, and other stakeholders involved in urban development.
