Tech Talk at PoliTO
From Generative AI to Real-World Applications.
Engineering returns to Politecnico with a new Tech Talk dedicated to Generative AI, offering students an opportunity to explore the technologies and challenges involved in developing AI solutions for enterprise environments.
The event will open with Professor Luca Cagliero, Associate Professor at the Department of Control and Computer Engineering and Coordinator of the SmartData@PoliTO Interdepartmental Center, the Big Data and Data Science Laboratory.
This will be followed by a presentation from Francesco Branciforti, Data Science Specialist at Eng, who will use a real-world use case to illustrate the journey from understanding a specific problem to designing and deploying a Generative AI solution.
The Tech Talk will explore some of the technologies currently driving the evolution of AI, including Large Language Models, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, prompt engineering, task decomposition, and structured output, as well as evaluation and error analysis.
A dedicated session will focus on EngGPT2 and Private Generative AI, showing how GenAI approaches and architectures can be integrated into enterprise environments and taken from experimentation to on-premises deployment.
The event will conclude with a Q&A session and an open discussion with students, offering the opportunity to explore the technologies, challenges, and lessons learned that emerge as AI moves from a prototype to a real-world solution.
