From paper to the Cloud with Microsoft 365

We have migrated and re-platformed Lotus Notes based applications, making time savings and reducing business processing costs.

Challenge
The German division of a leading Italian energy group required support in digitising a series of processes, some based on Lotus Notes and others completely paper-based.
The challenge was to bring the client and its business flows onto a Cloud platform that would reduce the time and cost of the various processes involved in application refactoring.
Approach
After an analysis phase, the solution was implemented and the relevant data migrated. Microsoft 365 was identified as the reference Cloud platform, using SharePoint Online as the repository of documents driving the processes, as well as Power Platform.
Solution
Users can take advantage of the applications in as-a-service mode. Some of the custom functions were implemented with SharePoint Framework - SPFx and others with Power Apps, while the Power Automate solution was chosen for the world of automation. All these application modules are present within the Microsoft 365 Suite.
The approach adopted enhanced the low-code/no-code features made available by the Power Platform, serving to meet time-to-market objectives for the availability of customer-centric solutions. The results have enabled us to successfully migrate 13 applications and around 40 approval flows with total customer satisfaction.
