In the last six years, the TARI tax (i.e. the waste tax) has been reduced thanks to the fight against tax evasion.
"If everyone pays, everyone pays less": this is the goal we want to achieve with data-driven administration (using sophisticated algorithms and semantic techniques that reconcile different information from numerous databases). This enables the municipality to create value and promote tax fairness.
Approach
Thank you to the fight against tax evasion and the improvement of tax collection compared to the past, in which the typical actions of forced collection were expanded and automated, the authority was able to rely on a solid cash balance.

The complete digitalisation of financial documents has made the entire administrative process more efficient and faster.
Dematerialisation has reduced downtime and made the signature process accessible (manageable from anywhere and at any time), while maintaining maximum transparency and security.
In addition, the integration with the accounting department has led to a reduction in manual processes by relieving the accounting department of the burden of verifying actual financial availability. In 2020, the average time for checking financial documents was 3.3 days.
This virtuous management has also enabled an acceleration of payments to suppliers.
Results
Higher revenues thanks to the fight against tax evasion
Optimization of processes: in 2016, the duration of the payment process for an invoice (from receipt to issuance of the mandate) was 45 days on average, while in 2020 it was 23 days.
