RemaNet: a step forward in the green and digital transition

ABSTRACT
An innovative system for remanufacturing management and industrial sustainability.

Where: italy
Challenge

The manufacturing industry must reduce waste and environmental impact, improve efficiency, and overcome data fragmentation and the challenges of supply chain coordination.

RemaNet supports the green and digital transition through an integrated and interoperable remanufacturing system that leverages advanced technologies to optimize the disassembly, recovery, and reuse of materials and components, fostering a circular economy.

Approach

The project aims to develop a networking system for remanufacturing, designed to optimize product lifecycle management through advanced technologies, distributed cloud systems, and data interoperability.

The main objectives are:

  • Remanufacturing Optimization: Encourage the reuse of materials and components, reducing waste and promoting the circular economy
  • Digital Integration: Connect data across supply chain stakeholders, facilitating resource and material management
  • Green Transition: Reduce the environmental impact of industrial activities by promoting sustainability and resource efficiency.
Solution

Extra Red plays a key role in the RemaNet project by integrating a distributed cloud system to ensure data interoperability among remanufacturing stakeholders.

Specifically, its responsibilities include:

  • Data Interoperability: Ensuring effective data exchange between IDS connectors within the RemaNet workflow
  • Matchmaking: Matching supply and demand for materials and components during disassembly and remanufacturing processes
  • Access Management: Managing stakeholder profiles and validation to ensure data security and transparency
  • User Interface: Developing an intuitive interface to monitor processes and manage information.

The project has received funding from the European Union's Horizon Europe programme (Call HORIZON-CL4-2023-TWIN-TRANSITION-01) under Grant Agreement No. 101138627.
