The “Cresciamo il Futuro”
Foundation is born
The “Cresciamo il Futuro” (Let’s Grow the Future) Foundation has been established - the instrument created by nine major Italian companies to give concrete implementation to a social project aimed at supporting employees and local communities.
The formal establishment of the “Cresciamo il Futuro Foundation” took place today at a notary’s office. Following its registration in the National Single Register of the Third Sector (“RUNTS”), it will officially take the name “Cresciamo il Futuro Foundation ETS.”
The Foundation represents the joint commitment of some of the most prominent Italian companies. Participating in its establishment as “Founding Members” were: A2A, Engineering, Eni, FiberCop, Fincantieri, Intesa Sanpaolo, ITA Airways, Leonardo, and Open Fiber.
Its creation lays the groundwork for a multi-level collaboration process that began last year, which also included the signing of a memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of Labour and Social Policies regarding the “Cresciamo il Futuro” project - aimed at creating and developing the largest national network of widespread nurseries accessible to all employees of participating companies.
The Foundation is non-profit and pursues exclusively civic, solidarity-based, and socially beneficial purposes. Its primary goal is to carry out interventions and services of general interest focused on supporting families and parenthood, promoting education and instruction for early childhood, preventing job abandonment following the birth of children, and fostering equal opportunities and social rights. These objectives will also be pursued by facilitating the integration of children into safe and suitable environments for their growth.
Among the activities that the Foundation may undertake - initially aimed at the children of the founding members’ employees and later extended to those of associate members and local communities - are: the direct or indirect management of nurseries and preschools; the creation and coordination of a network of institutions to ensure broad accessibility of services; and the direct or indirect management of a digital platform essential for sharing information on access to educational and childcare facilities.
