Together to reduce the gap, create spaces for cultural enhancement and concrete paths for women. These are the main themes of Obiettivo 5, an event dedicated to all male and female students at La Sapienza in Rome. Engineering is alongside La Sapienza and Corriere della Sera to make its contribution to overcoming the gender gap.
In Engineering, the proportion of women in the workforce today stands at 31%, with a growing trend in recent years. We are raising awareness of the inclusion of women already at the recruiting stage, for which we have set targets for the presence of women in all positions, training recruiters not to fall into the typical traps of gender bias.
On March 10th at 5.30 p.m. we will talk to students about talent and merit with our CEO Maximo Ibarra, and also on March 10th at 2 p.m. Marcella Tesone, Group Talent Director Engineering, will explain how the world of professions and working methods is being transformed also thanks to technology.
But it doesn't end there. For all students, students and guests it will be an opportunity to travel with us into the Metaverse. We will inaugurate our Engineering Metaverse Dome Experience, a unique, unprecedented opportunity to visit the city's cultural heritage, try out innovative teaching models, and experience new ways of sharing and entertainment.
A Virtual Reality path in Multiplayer, with innovative visors, where you will be able to access different immersive environments, following a free choice path to:
- admire a three-dimensional reconstruction of the Sessorius complex, linked to the figure of Emperor Constantine, recreated in collaboration with Digilab, the interdepartmental research centre of La Sapienza
- immerse yourself in an area of remote collaboration and sharing
- learn more about our company and our values
- entertain yourself in an immersive way with an interactive game.
We look forward to seeing you in the Metaverse on 9 and 10 March from 9 a.m. to 6.30 p.m. at La Sapienza University of Rome - Piazzale della Minerva!
