Microsoft Intune Worldwide Enrollment

With the support of Engineering and Microsoft, the client initiated a project that involved all countries to converge on a single Mobile Device Management platform for Corporate and Business devices.

Approach & Solution

Approach

The client is one of the leading global players in the eyewear and ophthalmic lens sector. The company is constantly committed to improving its IT operating model.

We adopted a Wave approach based on the number of devices present and the primary language used in the country. The project phases were addressed according to the workload and IT governance in place in each country, with the goal of creating a detailed migration plan that also considered the end of contracts for the products currently in use by the client's countries.

Thanks to close collaboration with our partner Microsoft, we continuously supported the project, minimizing unforeseen issues.

Solution

We implemented a device detection model using on-premise Active Directory and Defender, tailored to the client's specifications and Microsoft's guidelines for policies and application deployment in the prepared environment. During the migration, we adopted an Enterprise Managed approach for Windows devices and integrated new devices via Autopilot directly into Intune from the vendor's factory.

We also successfully managed the transition of mobile devices (smartphones and tablets) from BYOD to Enterprise Managed, coordinating the replacement of devices at the end of their lease. To mitigate risks and manage remediation phases, we centralized operations in Italy, also providing onsite support to Italian locations.
