On November 7 at 4:00 p.m., Francesca Meriggi, Group Chief Information Officer at Engineering, will give a talk titled “Women and Technology: The Future Depends on Education.”

Despite the progress made in recent years, the gender gap in STEM disciplines and leadership roles remains a structural and cultural challenge. Stereotypes, a lack of role models, and inequalities in career paths continue to limit women’s access to the most dynamic technological sectors. Truly closing this gap requires a systemic change — one that starts with early education and extends to the redistribution of power within decision-making centers.
