Engineering will once again participate in the IT Meeting, the event organized by Prof. Panizzi of the Department of Computer Science at Sapienza University of Rome, which every year brings together key players from the tech industry to explore the latest trends in digital innovation.

The 2025 edition will focus on the round table “AI-native development platforms”, dedicated to development environments natively integrated with Artificial Intelligence and the impact of AI-first tools — such as Cursor, Antigravity, and the new generations of intelligent SDKs — on the way software is designed, implemented and maintained.

Engineering will be represented by Alessandro Evangelista (Data Science Senior), who will contribute to a discussion that will touch on:

• the evolution of development workflows, automation, code quality and team productivity;

• the shift in required skills, professional roles, hiring processes and team composition;

• how students can prepare for a rapidly changing professional landscape shaped by AI-native technologies.

A topic of great interest for the university community, offering students the opportunity to understand how AI will influence not only technologies but also future careers in the IT sector.
