Challenge
The customer asked for our support to develop an AI solution to simplify the process of modifying and evaluating the pandemic plans drawn up by the various agencies within the flu pandemic plan.
Approach
The solution is developed in two phases:
- Learning Phase: Starting from plans already drawn up by the various agencies, it generates a list with the main topics covered, adding a weight to each topic according to its importance
- Evaluation phase: Starting from a pandemic plan, it provides an evaluation of the topics covered and a textual commentary.

Digital Ecosystem
We implemented an AI-based solution that exploits generative and text-embedding models to contextualise the national preparedness and response plan for possible pandemics.
The solution generates a comprehensive list of the topics covered in the various existing pandemic plans and evaluates each plan according to its adherence to them.
In particular, the evaluation of each draft provides feedback on the issues addressed and those neglected, a score indicating deviations from previously entered activities and textual feedback on the wording of the current one.
The solution helped simplify the process of writing pandemic plans by the different territorial health agencies.
