Challenge
The project is aimed at the four Regional Health Authorities of the Abruzzo Region. The operational context is linked to the implementation of the measures outlined by the NRRP funds under Mission M6C2, dedicated to the modernization of hospital technological and digital infrastructures, in line with the provisions of the Abruzzo Region’s 2021-2023 Three-Year Digital Health Plan (PSD).
Approach
The approach adopted for the project implementation was Business Agility, which is expressed across multiple distinct yet interconnected dimensions. Technical and work agility: this approach empowers each resource to be autonomous within their scope of work and capable of organizing themselves independently within it.

We are carrying out the project for the implementation and adoption of the Regional Electronic Health Record solution through a delivery methodology based on project management and professional service management frameworks (e.g. PMP®, ITIL®, PRINCE2®) that are universally recognized. The electronic medical record solution represents an innovative proposal in the digitalization process, compared to other areas of the Hospital Information System.

It became clear that the project governance needed to be managed by a Regional steering committee, within which the project guidelines were defined. This structure is composed of stakeholders from the Health Authorities, who took responsibility for disseminating the decisions made within their respective organizations.
