Challenge
In response to the growing exposure to cyber threats and the need to strengthen operational resilience, a leading healthcare organization tasked us with redesigning its Data Protection strategy, with the goal of enhancing data security and recovery capabilities.
Approach
We managed the restoration of critical services and subsequently initiated a co-design process aimed at strengthening the organization's security posture. This effort focused on the backup infrastructure, the alignment of data protection policies, and the introduction of advanced cybersecurity services, such as a Security Operations Center (SOC).
We conducted a thorough assessment and completely redesigned the backup infrastructure with a cyber resilience approach, adopting an architecture distributed across two regional data centers and an immutable cloud replica, while maintaining Commvault technology. Backup, security, and access policies were carefully revised, implementing out-of-domain Active Directory isolation and privileged access management (PAM).
The entire project was carried out in close collaboration with the client, with the objective of preventing future critical incidents, minimizing the risk of data leaks and downtime, and ensuring operational continuity. The initiative concluded with targeted staff training on backup and data protection best practices.
