A New Digital Asset Management Tool

Challenge

Our customer, as one of the world’s leading major home appliances company with approximately $21 billion in annual sales, 92.000 employees and 65 manufacturing and technology research centers in 2018, had to face several issues:

  • No central digital asset repository
  • Long time-to-market due to lengthy systems’ workflows (from asset creation and to its visibility websites)
  • Difficulty of finding digital assets and filters not fitting users’ needs.
Approach
Our client’s goal was to optimize storage and management of all digital assets (pictures, videos, documents, logos, icons) in a unique repository. We helped identify the main requirements, ensuring the fit with enterprise technology framework to guarantee digital assets delivery to external services (websites, e-commerce platforms, social network).
Solution

The new project aimed to creating a new application that had to:

  • Automatically organize all digital assets and their features, to reduce the time needed for searching and improve collaboration between teams (including external agencies)
  • Guarantee users the highest playback quality of content worldwide and simplify the company's digital infrastructure
  • Customize communication with each user and improve content production with valuable insights

Moreover, it had to manage lifecycle and workflow of digital assets, manage access and version for each asset or group of them. It leverages on AI to enrich the content and on DAM capabilities to track the performance of the assets across all channels.
