Engineering awarded Ecovadis Platinum Medal

Ecovadis is among the most important international sustainability rating platforms.

Also confirmed: “A-Excellent” score in Synesgy’s assessment.

Engineering, a leader in digital transformation processes for businesses and public administration, has been awarded the Platinum Medal by EcoVadis, one of the most accredited international ESG rating agencies. The recognition covers sustainability performance in four key areas: environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. This certification marks a step forward for the Group compared to last year, when the company received the Gold Medal.

This new and significant achievement places Engineering in the Top 1% of over 130,000 companies worldwide that have completed the EcoVadis assessment process and demonstrated a solid sustainability management system.

Roberto Scrivo, Chief Public Affairs, Corporate Communication & Sustainability Officer at Engineering, commented:
“In recent years, Engineering has pursued a Group-wide growth path in sustainability strategies, establishing itself as a driver of change and innovation in the country. The EcoVadis Platinum Medal, which comes just weeks after the release of our latest Sustainability Report, is a recognition we are proud of, as it certifies the validity of our journey and the continuous improvement we have pursued over the years. In a market increasingly focused on sustainability across the entire supply chain, this result strengthens our position as a reliable partner for clients and stakeholders and motivates us to do even more in developing solutions and processes that combine technological efficiency with sustainability.”

In addition to receiving the EcoVadis Platinum Medal, Engineering also confirmed its “A-Excellent” ESG score in the assessment by Synesgy, the global digital platform promoted by an alliance of leading companies committed to evaluating ESG sustainability within the supply chain. The “A” ESG score corresponds to an excellent level of sustainability for companies with a high degree of alignment with ESG principles, fully in line with national and international best practices.

Last July, the Group published its 2024 Sustainability Report, which highlights significant progress across all major ESG areas. For example, on the environmental front, Engineering powered 100% of its offices and Data Centers in Italy with electricity from renewable sources and reduced Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 27% compared to 2023. In the social sphere, the Group strengthened its commitment to inclusion and people development, with 20% of leadership roles in Italy held by women, 400 training courses delivered, 15 Academy programs launched, and over 1,600 professional certifications issued. In terms of governance, Engineering improved its CDP Climate Change rating from C to B in 2024, integrating the new double materiality matrix into its reporting.
