Smart Energy & Utilities
Approach & Solution
Approach
DigiBUILD aims to establish the grounds for an Energy Efficient Building Data Space, and is built on top of existing platforms and common EU initiatives. The project is based on standard cloud-data platform frameworks (FIWARE) and Data Space initiatives (GAIA-X and IDSA).
It leverages the European Bauhaus initiative, with the aim of demonstrating how data, models and analytical services offer tangible and positive experiences in our daily life.
Solution
These buildings are based on consistent and reliable data, to support better-informed decision-making processes to energy performance monitoring and evaluation. This allows the implementation of a solution which aims to create buildings with zero climate impact.
Engineering is DigiBUILD project coordinator, and focuses its work on the Digital Twins, the data-driven services for energy resources management and the cloud-based data toolbox for the connection with the Data Spaces. The project has received co-funding from the European Union's Horizon 2020 programme - Contract No. 101069658.
