Philosophies under the stars
Maximo Ibarra on stage at Palatine Stadium.
Our CEO Maximo Ibarra will close "Philosophies Under the Stars," a special event promoted by Roma Capitale, on August 6th in Rome.
In the splendid setting of the Palatine Stadium (at 9:00 PM), Maximo Ibarra will discuss how new technologies, by integrating with each other, become co-pilots capable not only of enhancing our efficiency and accuracy in making crucial decisions in medical or environmental fields but also of boosting our creativity, allowing us to imagine and create unprecedented dialogues with the past.
A conversation will be simulated with the avatars of two great philosophers, Plato and Confucius. Created specifically for the Festival by combining Generative Artificial Intelligence and Extended Reality, the two avatars have been trained to provide responses in line with the philosophical thoughts of Plato and Confucius, thus becoming an example of how the computational power of Artificial Intelligence can be channeled into experiences that combine innovation and classicism.
The evening, titled "Minds," will feature Maximo Ibarra alongside David Chalmers, professor of philosophy and neural sciences at New York University, and Sofia Bonicalzi, associate professor at the Department of Philosophy, Communication, and Performing Arts of Roma Tre University. It coincides with the XXV World Congress of Philosophy – Rome 2024, which will run until August 8th at the university city of Sapienza University of Rome.
