The Eng R&I team at Data Week 2026
Driving European Data & AI innovation across manufacturing, energy and environmental domains.
Engineering takes part in Data Week 2026, the flagship European event of the Data and AI research and innovation community, organised by the Big Data Value Association (BDVA) and taking place in Oslo on 5–6 May 2026.
During the event, Engineering’s Research & Innovation experts contribute to the programme by presenting results and experiences from European projects in Industrial AI, Digital Twins, data spaces and AI sovereignty.
Davide Dalle Carbonare, Project Manager, and Angelo Marguglio, Senior Technical Manager, present the PSS‑PASS project in the session “Navigating the Industrial AI Fjord: Bridging Autonomy, AI‑Ready Data Products and Digital Twins in Manufacturing”. Dalle Carbonare also joins the Opening Plenary panel “Data and AI Sovereignty for a resilient Europe”, focusing on technological sovereignty and trustworthy data ecosystems.
Massimo Bertoncini, Project Manager, acts as Chair and panellist in the session “Digital Twins, Energy Data Spaces and Interoperability for the Sustainable Energy Transition”, addressing the role of interoperable digital infrastructures in the energy domain.
In addition, Caterina Sarno, Associate R&I Project Manager, presents the IDEATION project in the session “Interoperable Data Ecosystems and AI‑Driven Digital Twins for Ocean and Inland Water Systems”, highlighting Digital Twins and data interoperability for water and marine environments.
Through its participation in Data Week 2026, Engineering confirms its active role in the European Data and AI innovation ecosystem, bridging research, industry and policy.
