Public Assembly “The Italy That Moves” by ANITA

Engineering Group Chief Public Affairs Officer Michelangelo Suigo is taking part in the roundtable “Energy, digital innovation, and new rules for the transport of tomorrow.”

What is the role of new technologies and Artificial Intelligence in driving innovation in Italy’s transport and logistics system?

On July 3, Michelangelo Suigo, Engineering Group Chief Public Affairs Officer, will take part in the public assembly “The Italy That Moves”, organized by ANITA as part of its 2026 General Assembly, scheduled for July 3–4 at the Hilton Sorrento Palace in Sorrento.

The event will bring together companies, institutions, and industry stakeholders to discuss the future of transport and logistics, with a focus on the sector’s role in the country’s competitiveness, ongoing transitions, and emerging challenges related to energy, digital transformation, and regulation.

Suigo will speak at the roundtable “Energy, digital innovation, and new rules for the transport of tomorrow”, dedicated to the sector’s transition across energy sustainability, technological innovation, and new regulatory scenarios.

At the core of his contribution will be the role of digital technologies and Artificial Intelligence as a strategic lever for transport companies: platforms, data, and AI can help reduce operating costs, enable collaborative logistics models, strengthen the security of critical infrastructures, and support greater economic and environmental competitiveness.

In this context, Engineering will present its vision on the adoption of Italian, secure, and governable AI solutions. With IS-IA and EngGPT 2, the Group proposes an approach designed to turn Artificial Intelligence into a strategic asset for businesses—capable of generating long-term competitive value while protecting organizational know-how.

Also participating in the roundtable will be Andrea Giuricin, Transport Economist at the University of Milano-Bicocca; Francesca Mariotti, President of ENEA; Emanuela Stocchi, Acting Director General of AISCAT; and Michele Vitiello, Expert at MASE and Secretary General of the World Energy Council.
