Challenge
The creative sector was severely affected by the pandemic and lockdown measures, with significant impacts on intangible cultural heritage and performing arts, penalized by restrictions and social distancing. It is therefore essential to overcome traditional, low-digitized operational models and accelerate the development of new innovative technology-based solutions.
Approach
CHANGES Spoke 2 fosters the development of innovative solutions to support digital transition and new forms of entrepreneurship and professional activities in the creative and cultural sectors. The approach is aimed at reinforcing research, production, and management processes in performing arts, music, audiovisual media, design and fashion, craftsmanship, as well as in the valorisation of linguistic heritage and its diversity.

Digital Ecosystem
The solutions include digital platforms, tools, open datasets, and semantic search systems that allow users to explore and contribute to intangible cultural heritage. The integration of innovative technologies facilitates new ways of accessing, producing, and sharing cultural content. Engineering has developed a framework based on the open-source blockchain platform ChainPro. The ChainPro for Artists solution integrates advanced blockchain technologies, including support for multi-layer infrastructures (e.g., Ethereum and Polygon) and the implementation of decentralized autonomous organizations (DAO) specifically designed for artist communities.
