The reCITY Game Storm is an online event dedicated to designing a video game on urban resilience. The initiative is promoted by Grifo multimedia, Engineering and the Politecnico di Bari as part of the reCITY project "Resilient City - Everyday Revolution." The project aims to stimulate and enhance resilience practices that result in social innovation interventions through the active participation of the citizen community and the use of ICT technologies.
reCITY Game Storm is a game that in addition to its entertainment features aims to raise awareness, inform and stimulate reflective processes. The objective of the event is to implement a participatory design of a game on resilience: starting from some real stories focused on the particular urban context of the city of Taranto, the participants, divided into small groups and guided by expert mentors in the branch of gamification and urban resilience, will try their hand at designing a video game.
