Engineering Ingegneria Informatica S.p.A. (“Engineering” and together with its subsidiaries, the “Group”) announces the appointment of Maximo Ibarra as Group CEO and Massimo Cunico as Group CFO.

The Board of Directors of Engineering has granted Maximo Ibarra full powers and the operational mandate as Chief Executive Officer (“CEO”) of Engineering, following his appointment as designated CEO by the shareholders’ meeting held on April 20, 2021.

Massimo Cunico has been appointed as the new Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”) of Engineering.

For Maximo Ibarra, who joins the Group as CEO, this also constitutes the beginning of his entrepreneurial path, as a partner with the Group’s shareholders Bain Capital and NB Renaissance.

"It is an extraordinary time of change, full of opportunities. Technologies can and must rapidly bring benefits to everyone,” says Ibarra. “For this reason - he continues - I am thrilled to lead Engineering, a champion of digital transformation which, in terms of skills, areas of activity and size, is ready to amplify the positive effects of these changes on citizens, industry and services”.

In addition to his most recent experience as head of Sky Italia, Maximo Ibarra, 52, was CEO of KPN until 2019. Previously, he held the role of CEO of Wind Tre. Today, he also leads the B20 Digital Transformation task force and he is a member of the Mediobanca Board of Directors and a professor of Digital Marketing at LUISS Guido Carli.

Engineering’s shareholders and its Board of Directors wish to thank Paolo Pandozy, who, with passion and vision, led the Group for many years on an exciting and continuous growth path, resulting in Engineering becoming an Italian leader in Digital Transformation.

Massimo Cunico takes on the position of Group CFO, taking over from Armando Iorio. Cunico, 49, started his career at Pirelli S.p.A in 1997, firstly in Italy and subsequently at an international level, taking on various roles and increasing responsibilities, ultimately reaching the position of VP and CFO of Pirelli Tire North America in 2019.

Engineering’s shareholders and its Board of Directors also wish to thank Armando Iorio who, with passionate dedication and skills, successfully contributed, as Group CFO, to Engineering’s growth and strengthening for many years. Armando Iorio will remain with the Group as a member of the Board of Directors.
