Massimo Canducci, Chief Innovation Officer of Engineering, has been elected to the Board of Directors of the National Standardization Body for Technologies and Their Applications (UNINFO)
UNINFO is a federated body with UNI – the Italian national body that deals with technical standardization – and, by proxy, represents Italy at European level in CEN (European Committee for Standardization) and worldwide in ISO (International Organization for Standardization) for everything related to the technical standardization of enabling and emerging technologies.
Massimo Canducci, Chief Innovation Officer of Engineering declares: "Being part of the UNINFO Board of Directors is important because it allows Engineering to play a leading role, nationally and internationally, in the technical standardization of digital technologies, with which it realizes digital ecosystems and enables its innovation initiatives. Activating working tables at the Italian level on emerging technologies and then seeing their fruits at an international level demonstrates, once again, the enormous expertise that Italy can express in the field of innovation and digital technologies".
Technical standards are solutions, codified and super partes, to recurring problems, very useful documents for anyone as they define the characteristics and/or performance of products, production processes, services and professions, with regard to various aspects (quantitative, dimensional, technological, organizational, safety and, above all, qualitative and environmental). In short, they are rules for "doing things well" and help reduce unreasonable costs for businesses through quality regulation.
