Case Study

Multi-Risk Operational Centre 2.0

ABSTRACT
We have developed an integrated decision support system for the control and monitoring of environmental phenomena on the regional territory.

Where: italy
Challenge
Real-time monitoring of environmental phenomena and prevention of resulting risks to humans.
Approach
To support A.R.P.A. Calabria in its institutional activities, we have developed the software platform CFM 2.0, which integrates a series of components based on the most advanced technologies in the field of Advanced Analytics and the Internet of Things, alongside specialised activities and services for the collection and analysis of environmental data.

We have implemented the following modules:

  • Acquisition of data from external sources, such as the network of sensors distributed in the region
  • Management: to consult the acquired data (also graphically), validate them and decide which ones can be published
  • Dissemination: allows to enter information in the warning portal "Allerta meteo Calabria", which collects all useful information
  • Analysis: Enables tasks on standard models of environmental data analysis
  • GIS includes a web-based GIS system for consultation and a map server for publication.
