Use Case

AI for Recycling, Reusing and Remanufacturing

ABSTRACT
How to adopt advanced technologies for more efficient re-use of end products in manufacturing

Where: italy
Mission
Recover more of the valuable materials contained in industrial waste streams and avoid the associated environmental and climate impacts. Industrial waste accounts for at least 50% of the world's waste.
Solution
An AI platform to increase the performance, resilience and sustainability of direct manufacturing and process industries and promote the circular economy. The platform provides seamless data sharing solutions, data spaces with product-specific information, including sustainability and waste data, used to obtain accurate models to improve the entire product and production lifecycle along the process value chain.
Actions
The end-to-end digitalization of the production chain is enhanced by the integration of artificial intelligence, which supports operators in routine activities. Thanks to its ability to recognize products and parts, it facilitates the disassembly process, production, and optimization of processes in the workshop. This approach not only only increases value of recycled and reused components, improving overall operational efficiency and company competitiveness.
Expected results

Reduced time for de-manufacturing

Reduced CO2 emissions and unit process cost
